WHAT IS LEAP?

WHY IS 21st CCLC INVOLVED?
21sst CCLC is part of the NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND ACT of 2001. LEAP became part of this act in 2003. The Program offers academic, artistic, and cultural enrichment opportunities to students and their families at times when school is not in session (such as after school hours and during the summer). The primary goal is to supplement the education of children to help them meet state core curriculum content standards. A secondary goal is to provide reliable child-care for families who have that need.

After the most needy students are enrolled, other students will be accepted as space is available.
